How can you not fall in love with Aaron Junatas?
Aaron Junatas, the cute, charming SCQ Kids runner-up we adored as Mokong in Krystala will capture your hearts in ABS-CBNs new feel-good family show, My Juan and Only. Starting May 28, this heart-warming entertainment that the family can enjoy will air every Saturday night, after Nginiiig!
As seen from a childs pure eyes, Aaron as Juan presents a different perspective on everyday family issues. Surrounded and raised by different authority figures, he grows up to be a well-rounded kid. At his young age, he is trained to be business-minded and thrifty. Not only that, the boy is also street smart, equipped with a clever wit.
This all-new one-of-a-kind show also features Ai-Ai de las Alas as a Kapampangan carinderia owner, with her surreal but pleasant motherly charm tending to Juan.
Randy Santiago is the childs Tatay, the devoted husband with a flair in the kitchen. Vhong Navarro is Juans Daddy, a tricycle driver who lives in their garage.
Yes, you read that right. Juan has two fathers living in the same household!
And theres more. An entire neighborhood of an extended family! Toni Gonzaga enters as Vhongs love interest, with Paw Diaz as her sister, and Nova Villa as their lola. John Prats and Long Mejia also join the cast.
But despite all the adults around him, Juan still is a kid. This is why he runs to his best friend, portrayed by Nash Aguas, when trouble arises. One mother, two fathers, and one big extended family, this story of love beyond blood cannot get any more unconventional.
The staff and cast even went beyond the common preparations to produce this one-of-a-kind show extensive studies for the new looks and characters, and workshops to realistically portray their roles with accurate mannerisms and delivery of lines.
The creative team is also made up of some of the best talents in the industry: Gilbert Perez, director of comic hits Trip and Jologs, and heartwarming movie hits, namely Kahit Isang Saglit and Dreamboy, Ipe Pelino, writer of Chicks to Chicks, Chika Chika Chicks, Palibhasa Lalake, and now one of the ABS-CBNs creative managers and Joey Reyes, headwriter of Palibhasa Lalake, Whattamen, and Bora, who was also writer/director of Ano ba ang Latest? May Minamahal, Pare Ko, Kung Ako na Lang Sana, and the latest Sandara-Hero hit Can This be love?
They are the creative minds responsible for bringing Ai-Ai, Randy, and Vhong all together for the first time, taking the Vhong and Toni team-up outside of Wazzup Wazzup, and forming the John-Paw love team. Another fresh change to the show is that the kid is the center of the program, and not just an add-on to the cast.
Every week, their real-life situations will remind you of your own families. A dash of comedy and a pinch of drama that will inspire and enlighten your everyday lives, the story of their family is also yours.
