Gary V. gets multi-platinum award

Gary Valenciano, who celebrates his 20th anniversary in showbiz this year, was awarded a sextuple platinum award (six-times platinum or more than 180,000 copies sold) for his Revive album. His most recent outing, Gary V.: At the Movies gave him another platinum disc award from Universal Records.

The multi-platinum award ceremony was held in ABS-CBN’s ASAP, where Gary V. is one of the regular hosts. Universal Records’ marketing director Kathleen Dy Go (with Gary in photo) gave the top singer the two plaques.

Before the awarding, Gary V. performed selections from the Revive and At the Movies albums, together with other ASAP talents.

Gary V. is recording a brand-new studio album which will be released later this year.
