Kpop boygroup BTS performs latest song 'DNA' at AMA 2017
MANILA, Philippines — Seven-member boy group BTS (a.k.a. Bangtan Sonyeondan and Beyond the Scene) brought the Kpop flair to American stage as they performed their latest single "DNA" at the American Music Awards.
Night of November 19 (US time), RM (a.k.a. Rap Monster), Jin, Suga, Jungkook, V, J-Hope and Jimin performed at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles before a legion of music fans.
The seven-piece group brought to the awards night the lavish costume, perfectly synchronized dance moves, and catchy beats the Korean pop culture has been known for at the AMAs.
DNA was launched on September 18, as part of the group's fifth mini album. A week later, the song made it to the Billboard Hot 100 earning the number 85 position, and peaked at position of 67 on October 2.
Hollywood actor and model Ansel Elgort, was also seen taking a video of the group while they performed DNA.
Before heading to the music ceremonies, BTS had a several guestings in "The Late Late Show" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" The group is also said to entertain audience at "Ellen Degeneres Show" to be aired on November 27.
Earlier this year, BTS bagged Top Social Artist award at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards on May.
The group also confirmed a collaboration with Steve Aoki and Desiigner for a remix of their 2017 single "Mic Drop."
The group's official twitter account, @BTS_twt, boasts of 10.2 million followers.
BTS debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment. The group had concerts in Manila in 2014, 2016, and 2017.
