ABS-CBN welcomes back Derek Ramsay
MANILA, Philippines — Derek Ramsay is a "Kapamilya" once more.
In a press statement e-mailed to Philstar.com by Kane Errol Choa, Head for ABS-CBN's Integrated Corporate Communications, the network says: "ABS-CBN welcomes back Derek Ramsay who will soon work with Bea Alonzo and Paulo Avelino in the film 'Kasal' under Star Cinema."
In an interview with Pang-Masa early this month, Derek said he welcomes the possibility of returning to the Kapamilya network, but he still has a contract with TV5.
But according to the ABS-CBN press statement, the network's "top management and Derek have met recently and resolved the issues arising from his transfer to another network five years ago."
Before he was a Kapatid or a Kapamilya, Derek was first a Kapuso as a host in "Eat Bulaga" in 2001. He then transferred to ABS-CBN in 2005 and stayed there until 2010. He has then moved to TV5 in 2012 and remained there until this year.
Derek now stars opposite Jennylyn Mercado in the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival entry "All of You" by Quantum Films and MJM Productions.
