MANILA, Philippines — Actress Isabel Granada passed away on Saturday evening. She was 41.

Last October 25 the actress was in critical condition in an ICU at Doha, Qatar after collapsing due to a brain hemorrhage indicating aneurysm.

She and her husband, Arnel Cowley, were in Qatar as Granada was invited to speak at a trade and tourism conference there.

Granada passed away at 6 p.m. on Saturday (11 p.m. on Saturday, Manila time), her cousin Joseph Rivera said in a Facebook post.

"I'm devastated that you had to go so soon despite us just reconnecting our family just recent. I will miss you so dearly. We would like to request for everyone's continued prayers for Isabel and for us family at this challenging moment. Maraming Salamat po," he said.

Her remains would be brought back to the Philippines by her husband on Wednesday. Cowley said Granada wanted to be cremated, a request the 80s star made while they were visiting a friend's wake in Australia. But the decision on whether she would be cremated or not lies on Granada's mother.

Granada's first husband Geryk Genasky Aguas, who flew to Qatar last week, and her former loveteam partner Chuckie Dreyfus also posted touching tributes to her on Facebook.

Kasama mo nawala ang napakalaking parte ng buhay ko na kailanman hindi ko na maibabalik," Dreyfus said, adding that he is still in disbelief of the tragic news.
