New Pangasinan vice mayor takes oath

CALASIAO, Pangasinan, Philippines – This town has new vice mayor.

Councilor Mahadeva Das Mesina, 36, took his oath on Tuesday before Municipal Trial Court Judge Avelina Rosario.

Mesina replaced Vice Mayor Ferdinand Galang who resigned from his post to migrate abroad.

Galang submitted his resignation letter to the Department of the Interior and Local Government also on Tuesday.

Mesina was chairman of Barangay Longos for three terms.

Meanwhile, Roberto Jorgio, who placed tenth in the elections for councilor, took his oath in view of the rule on succession.
