Dennis wins Asian Star Prize in Korea

MANILA, Philippines - Dennis Trillo won the Asian Star Prize in the 11th Seoul International Drama Awards held at the Korean Broadcasting Center’s KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, South Korea last Sept. 8.

Dennis won for his role as Emmanuel “Emman” Dela Paz in the GMA-7 teleserye, My Faithful Husband, aired from Aug. 10 to Nov. 13, 2015, with Jennylyn Mercado and Mikael Daez in the main cast. Joyce Bernal directed the romantic drama series.

 “I would like to thank the Seoul International Drama Awards for this honor and recognition. This is very special for me because it is given by the Korean people who is very well-known for creating the best dramas in the world. I would like to share this award with my home network GMA 7, my family, my loved ones, for all the Filipinos and to my supporters. Thank you very much. To God be the glory! Mabuhay ang mga Pilipino!” a jubilant Dennis said when he accepted the award.

Co-hosted by the Seoul International Drama Awards and the Korean Broadcasters’ Association, this year’s edition featured 28 dramas along with 28 producers, actors and actresses nominated for awards out of 265 entries from 51 countries.
