Joross Gamboa breaks silence on video scandal

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED 12:38 p.m.) – Joross Gamboa finally broke his silence about an alleged video scandal earlier this year.

The actor indirectly confirmed that it was him in the video, but said that “matagal na ‘yon!” Philippine Entertainment Portal reported.

He even made a joke out of it saying, “Napanood n’yo? O, ‘di close na tayo!”

Even though he’s now making fun of it, he admitted crying over it when it went viral. He was in the United States together with wife Katz Saga and their son when the video made it to different social networking sites.

He thanked his wife who has been supportive of him amid the controversy.

“Hindi siya naano kasi alam niyang matagal na ‘yon,” he replied when asked about his wife’s reaction. “Idinasal na lang naming dalawa, siyempre nag-pray na lang kaming dalawa no’n.”

Although it was a bad experience on his part, the actor doesn’t regret anything.

“Lahat nangyayari for a reason kasi,” he explained. “Kumbaga, mas dagdag lesson 'yun sa akin. Tsaka minsan, it’s either matuto ka sa wisdom, sa mga experiences ng ibang tao or sa sabi ng ibang tao, or sa sarili mong experience na tulad ng ganito.”

Joross said he cannot give apt advice to guys in similar situations. All he can tell them is that “ang temptasyon, hindi ‘yan nilalabanan, tinatakbuhan ‘yan.”
