Jericho Rosales on commitment: You have to go all out

MANILA, Philippines – After the several past relationships Jericho Rosales is now happily married with Kim Jones.

Finding “the one” was not easy for the Kapamilya actor. But after strengthening his faith and carrying with him the lessons of the past, he finally found his perfect match.

So how did he finally decide that he’s ready to settle down with Kim?

“Find that person who can give up everything. This may sound intense, but when we decided to get married, before we thought about that ako naisip ko na, ‘I’ll going to give her everything, and if she says yes it means she’s going to give up everything for me.’ So nauto ko siya,” he said recalling his proposal to Kim.

He added: “You find that woman that will honor you, that will support you, above all that woman who fears God the most. Without God, hindi ako rerespetuhin ng asawa ko at hindi ko rin siya rerespetuhin."

"Before you commit to anything, you commit to Him, make Him proud. So if you find that person whose heart belongs to Him, that person would easily commit.”

When it comes to commitment, Jericho likened it to surfing.

“If you’re going to take on a wave, you have to go all out because commitment is all out, being all out,” he explained. “No left, no right but one direction. Once you look on the left or look on the right, then you’ll crash. It’s called the wipe-out, and you’ve got to start again.”
