Policewoman joins Miss Earth Philippines

MANILA, Philippines - Philippine National Police Inspector Sophia Loren Deliu will join the Miss Earth Philippines 2015 beauty pageant.

She's the second police officer who entered the world of beauty pageants after PO2 Niel Perez, who represented Philippines at the Mister International competition in Seoul, Korea.

“I guess this will create a big impact, especially to the world of officership kasi ako po 'yong first lady officer to join such prestigious pageant,” she said in an interview on Tuesday, aired on “Aksyon TV.”

“I think this will be a great opportunity for us to reach the people, na approachable ang mga pulis,” she said.

Deliu was a graduate of BS Tourism Management before deciding to enter Philippine National Police Academy in Baguio last year.

She also had a background in modeling and even joined Miss Teen Philippines in 2006, and Miss Baguio in 2008.
