Charice won’t undergo ‘sex re-assignment’

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Or to be blunt about it, even if ‘sex re-assignment’ is the politically-correct word used in the news in the wake of the murder of a transgender in Olongapo, Charice (photo) clarified that she wouldn’t resort to a procedure as radical as a ‘sex change’ when she recently re-appeared on the show of her Ninang Oprah Winfrey on OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network).

‘Hindi naman siya aabot sa ganyan,’ somebody close to Charice assured Funfare.

Charice was invited to appear as guest along with other talents around the world who debuted on the show. Oprah pointedly asked Charice if she was going, well, that far in Charice’s transitioning into being a male.

In good humor, Charice said that her ‘transition’ is limited to her sartorial choices and her haircut. Charice is happy with her girlfriend Alyssa Quijano who has finally been accepted by Charice’s mom Raquel Pempengco after mother and daughter reconciled.

All’s well in the family.
