Kris Aquino apologizes to Vilma Santos

MANILA, Philippines- Kris Aquino on Thursday night apologized to Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos for the bashing the veteran actress received.

Vilma was bashed by netizens for the grammatical error on the dedication card she sent to Kris along with a gift of ensaymadas. The Queen of All media posted a picture of the gift and the dedication card.

In Thursday’s episode of “Aquino & Abunda,” the Queen of All Media defended herself from those who are saying that she “meant to harm” the Star of All Seasons for posting the photo.

“Ako, I take offense doon sa nagsasabi na I meant her harm by posting that. I didn't. You know I'm a fan, you know I'm a Vilmanian," she said.

She added that the errors on the card didn’t bother her and was touched by Ate Vi’s kind gesture.

“It did not bother me," she said. "Ako po 'yong recipient ng card. Kung ako, noong binabasa ko, hindi ko tsinek [check], hindi ako nagpaka-English teacher doon sa card na 'yon... What touched me was the honesty, the sincerity, the genuine kindness that she showed me."

Kris said she has realized that "my good intentions of showing my appreciation to her can be taken the wrong way."

“I love you, Ate Vi. I apologize, Ate Vi, doon sa stress na binigay nito sa'yo, pero sinabi ko nga, You're too blessed to be stressed," she said.
