MMFF: Vice Ganda portrays 4 roles in 'Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy'
MANILA, Philippines - Vice Ganda is up for another challenge as he portrays four different roles in one film via 39th Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy.â€
In this film, Vice will portray each member of a quadruplets — a girl, a boy, a gay and a lesbian — who were separated for a long time after their parents, portrayed by Joey Marquez and Maricel Soriano, parted ways.
But destiny makes a way to make their paths cross in an unexpected way.
Two of them meet in the mall, wherein one of them was arrested after being mistaken as the one who shoplifted an item.
As the four of them meet and their parents confess the truth as to why they were parted, they will be facing another challenge as one of them is in need of a liver transplant.
But since they’ve been separated for a long time and grew apart, there will be hesitations if saving the life of the other really matters.
In a report, Vice Ganda said he doesn’t want to expect anything from the film.
"Yung success na nakuha ko last year, sana gano'n uilt 'diba. At kine-claim ko na na magiging gano'n 'to ulit.â€
Other members of the cast are Ruffa Gutierrez, Cristine Reyes, JC de Vera, Ejay Falcon, Kiray Celis, Xyriel manabat, JM Ibanez and Rhed Bustamante.
“Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy†is a film directed by Wenn Deramas and produced by Star Cinema.
All MMFF entries will be in cinemas starting December 25.
