Agassi brothers open resto
MANILA, Philippines - Brasas, the first restaurant specializing in Latin American street food in Manila, opens its branch at SM Jazz Residences in Bel-Air, Makati City led by owner Carlos Agassi and his brothers.
Carlos, Michael and Aaron Agassi own 50 percent of the Brasas franchise. The brothers also manage the manpower agency Quintrix.
Besides Brasas, the 30-something actor Carlos, whose last showbiz projects were Praybeyt Benjamin, My Amnesia Girl and Every Breath You Take, keeps himself busy working out in his own gym every day and training his friends and clients.
The health-buff non-smoker starts his day with a prayer, then off to workout focusing on cardio and weights, then do his shows and other commitments. He enjoy foods that keep his body functioning 100 percent, following a three-day low carb and one-day high carb diet mixed with high protein, in six to 10 meals daily. He maintains positivity and good vibes, surrounding himself with positive people.
The 5’10†hunk actor started out as a commercial model before he was launched as a member of ABS-CBN’s Star Circle Batch 3. He was a member of the all-male group The Hunks that captured every girl’s heart back then.
In his showbiz stint, Carlos learned to enjoy the moment, to always give his best and be professional and to try to be a good role model. The self-confessed one-woman man says the biggest challenge he faced in his life was finding out what he really loved to do. He discovered that his passion is entertaining people through acting and performing in shows.
“I learn from my mistakes and yes, I have regrets but I wouldn’t change them because those regrets helped shape me to become a better man, son, brother, actor and friend,†Carlos shares.
Carlos chooses what he does and he makes sure that those are the things that make him happy. He loves to be busy with work, acting and performing.
“It feels so good to touch other people and make them forget their problems even only for that moment,†says Carlos.
He still dreams of playing the role of a Spartan gladiator, but other than that, Carlos “Amir†Agassi is content and happy with his life right now.
