Wansapanataym clinches Ani ng Dangal award

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN’s award-winning fantasy-drama anthology Wansapanataym continues its winning streak as it recently bagged Ani ng Dangal award from the National Commission on Culture and Arts. The show’s Chalk Boy episode won in the Multi-Disciplinary Arts category.

Meanwhile, Kapamilya child wonder Zaijian Jaranilla (photo) is set to win the hearts of TV viewers once again tonight as he portrays the role of Tonton, a young boy who is fond of eating junk food and skipping meals. When he sleeps one night without eating, Tonton’s soul is detached from his body and is brought to a world where he meets kids who also take food for granted. Will Tonton start to eat nutritious food at the right time when he takes on the challenge of experiencing extreme hunger in order for him to see his family once again?

Together with Zaijian in the episode Hunger Games are Lara Quigaman, Jaime Fabregas, Boots Anson-Roa, Yogo Singh, Gerald Pesigan, and Micko Laurente. It is written by Mariami Tanangco-Domingo and directed by Jon “Sponky” Villarin.

Wansapanataym airs Saturdays after Kapamilya: Deal or No Deal. For updates, log on to www.abs-cbn.com or follow @abscbndotcom on Twitter.
