MANILA, Philippines — Ford recorded its best-ever quarter in the Philippines, delivering third quarter sales that increased 12 percent from a year ago to 9,293 vehicles.

This is due in part to the company’s top September performance wherein 3,154 vehicles were sold. The retail sales increased to 19 percent year-on-year led by continued strong demand for the Everest, EcoSport and Ranger.

“The Everest, EcoSport and Ranger continue to drive our sales momentum,” said Bertrand Lessard, managing director at Ford Philippines. “We’ve been running some very attractive nationwide campaigns, and with the impending excise tax changes, we’re expecting our Ford showrooms will continue to be busy through year-end. We’re thankful that more and more customers are choosing Ford for their vehicles.”

The Everest SUV remained Ford’s best-selling vehicle in the country. Engineered for the extraordinary, the Everest redefines consumer expectations for a mid-size SUV with its bold design and refined interior, and off-road capability with on-road comfort.

The versatile Ranger is the second-best selling pickup truck in the country. Dubbed “Built Ford Tough,” it is available in the country in 15 variants.

The EcoSport is also one of the best-selling vehicles in the segment that it helped pioneer.

Ford’s North American-built models also contributed to the record quarter. The premium Explorer SUV pushed its third quarter sales to 292 vehicles, while the Mustang sports car boosted its quarterly sales to 115 vehicles.
