Kaligtasan ni Leila siniguro – Malacañang
MANILA, Philippines - Walang dapat ipag-alala sa seguridad at kaligtasan si Sen. Leila de Lima sa kanyang selda sa loob ng Camp Crame matapos na ito ay sumuko kahapon ng umaga.
“I think she should put herself at rest so as the other senators. These things are following due process and we do respect the rights of everyone,” ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Ernesto Abella.
Sinabi ni Usec. Abella, mismong si PNP chief Ronald dela Rosa ang naniguro sa kaligtasan ni Sen. de Lima sakaling ilagay sa PNP custodial center sa Camp Crame ito.
“As the good police officer Gen. Bato has said, he has assured the safety of the senator. It should [calm her nerves and assure her supporters]. I don’t see any reason--I don’t see any reason why anybody should take such a risk doing something like that, you know trying to attempt at her life. the process has taken so long. Let’s just wait for due process to take in,”paliwanag pa ni Abella.
Idinagdag pa ng presidential spokesman, posibleng pansamantala lamang na ikulong si De Lima sa PNP Custodial Center sa gitna na rin ng panawagan na huwag bigyan ng special treatment ang mambabatas.
