Heart Evangelista to hold painting exhibit dedicated to her father

Alixandra Caole Vila - Philstar.com

MANILA, Philippines - Heart Evangelista has come a long way since her G-Mik days. From conquering billboards and TV shows, she now emerges as one of the biggest names in the field of arts and painting.

Heart bares her true soul as an artist in yet another solo art exhibit this January. Dubbed as the Fish Series, the exhibit to be held in Artists' Space in Ayala Museum will showcase her paintings dedicated to her father.

"Growing up, I used to go fishing with him kasi gusto niya ng boy, so ginagawa niya kong tomboy. So, I'd hike with him, fish with him," explained Heart during an interview with Philstar.com.

Heart describes the exhibit as something that perfectly encapsulates her good memory with her father from her childhood days.

The actress turned artist posted on Instagram some of the paintings that will be showcased in the exhibit:

The Fish Series will be her fourth exhibit and it will run until February 9.

Heart had her first art exhibit dubbed “I am Love Marie: The Art and Works of Love Marie Ongpauco,” on the same venue in May 2014. Her paintings also went international as she became the first Filipina whose artworks were showcased at the Chan Hampe Galleries in Singapore.

Aside from her exhibit, Heart is also collaborating this January 18 with designer Markbumgarner for a fashion show gala where they will showcase 15 Bumgarner couture handpainted by Heart.
