Purita Kalaw-Ledesma Prize for Art Criticism 2015 is now accepting entries
MANILA, Philippines - The Ateneo Art Gallery and Kalaw-Ledesma Foundation Inc. have just announced the exhibitions to be reviewed by writers interested in submitting entries for the Purita Kalaw-Ledesma Prize for Art Criticism.
These exhibitions are: “Forces at Work,” Jorge B. Vargas Museum and Filipiniana Research Center, until Jan. 28; “Project Bakawan: Ethos, Pathos, Bathos,” Jorge B. Vargas Museum and Filipiniana Research Center, from Feb. 11 to Mar. 6; “Pandy Aviado: Fifty Years of Printmaking,” Ground Floor Gallery, Ayala Museum, until Jan. 11; “Images of Nation: Cesar Legaspi, the Brave Modern,” Third Floor Galleries, Ayala Museum, until Mar. 1; “Propaganda,” Lopez Memorial Museum, Feb. 6 to July 25.
The Purita Kalaw-Ledesma Prize for Art Criticism aims to encourage local arts writers to foster critical public discussion about exhibitions and artworks in keeping with the mission and vision of the Ateneo Art Gallery to recognize artistic talent and push boundaries in contemporary art practice.
The Prize was established by the Ateneo de Manila University through the Ateneo Art Gallery in partnership with the Kalaw-Ledesma Foundation Inc. and in association with The Philippine STAR to honor the memory of Purita Kalaw-Ledesma, art patron, writer and founder of the Art Association of the Philippines (AAP).

Ateneo Art Gallery is open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The museum will be closed from Dec. 18, 2014 to Jan. 5, 2015.
