‘Muslima: Muslim Women’s Art & Voices’ online exhibit

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The International Museum of Women, in partnership with Ayala Museum, presents “Muslima: Muslim Women’s Art & Voices,” a groundbreaking international collection of thought pieces and artwork from contemporary Muslim women.

The online exhibition (accessible at http://muslima.imow.org) features exclusive interviews with leading women’s rights advocates from countries including Iran, Afghanistan, and Bosnia. It also showcases the barrier-breaking creativity of female artists from every region of the world and features “Muslima Stories,” multimedia stories from dozens of women in their 20s and 30s who are redefining what it means to be a modern Muslim woman.

Officially launched last March 8, the show’s content is available for free online and will expand as IMOW receives user-generated submissions solicited from March and April.
